Senoufo helmet mask

Mask,wood, helmet style,
surmounted by a single large bird,
four individual smaller birds
inserted in wings. Resembling
a traditional staff that is used
to give incentive and reward
to boys who work in the fields.

Acquired from El Hadj in
the Senoufo village of Korhogo.
