This Australian Aboriginal art basket of coiled bundled plant fiber, with lid and handle, was hand-woven of pandanus fiber by Susan Malgarrli, a Burarra of Maningrida, an Aboriginal community on the northern coast of Arnhemland, in the Northern Territory of Australia.

10" in diameter x 4" from the bottom
to the basket rim, 14" to handle top.

It was acquired personally at the Aboriginal Art Center in Maningrida in 2001. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity as to its Australian Aboriginal origin.
