of the artist's grandmother's country.
It is like a topographical map that shows
the salt pens (white), grass areas, sand
hills, rock holes and areas of the land
that are journey paths for Dreamtime
ancestors. The center point of the
painting is a celebration of the wet
season and the abundance of bush
tucker that it brings, providing life,
health and growth for the artist's

One significance of such work is that
similar paintings were used as evidence
to support Aboriginal land Claims in the
