Christine Peterson Nungala is said to have been born ca. 1968-73 in the Papunya Community, which is about 3 hours from Alice Springs. She now lives at Mt. Liebig. Her paintings are now offered through the Watiyawanu Aboriginal Arts Center. Her works contain graphic "code" about tribal laws, customs and history.
Most of Christine's more recent work is more refined than this work, demonstrating growth and maturity in her technique and vision. Nonetheless, this is an authentic early work by Christine, as attested to by dealer Tony Bond of Adelaide, Australia, from who it was acquired in
