Horses were symbols of wealth among ancient Dogon Tribe members. The source for this powerful piece was Timbuctou To You, a dealer who frequented the Dogon escarpment where the tribe inhabited caves that provided protection from rivals. The source claimed to have retrieved it from an abandonedcave.
