KC89 is by Sonder Turner Nampitjinpa, a Warlpiri. The Dreaming is a women's story. U-shapes represent women dancing around ceremonial poles. Berries that are used as food are shown around the painting. Sonder won the Canberra Times National Art Award in 1986, about the time this painting was created.
