A major work by Walala Tjapaltjarri, entitled "Tingari Cycle." Walala walked out of the desert with his family in 1984, making their first contact with Europeans. He began to paint his own works in 1996, following years of watching and helping the old men painters in Kiwrrikura and Kintore. His style is distinctive and recognized world wide. Tingarri stories recount the travels during the creation time of a group of mythical characters of the Dreamtime. The painting depicts secret/sacred ceremonies associated with Tingarri.

The work is 42" x 24 ½",
on stretchers.
