This mask is in traditional kpelie style and was used in parts of the Senuofo creation dance.

It was casrved from native wood of the West African region. The blue coloration is from powder associated with dances.

The mask was exhibited in the Owensboro (KY) Museum
of Fine Art,
in 1995
